Festival Stage Show
The New York Goofs present a live comedy variety show with a cast of crazies (5 to 8 performers) who dance, juggle, play music, and parody the foibles and inconsistencies of human existence. If anyone in the audience can?t find a laugh in this show, check their pulse. Show length can vary from 15 minutes to 50 minutes.
Fascination
This hour long theatrical clown show is a battle of wits between a concert pianist and his two servants. Exploring the wonders of the Classic Trio, the Goofs transform chaos into music and prove eventually that three people can get along.
The cast of "Fascination" plays 9 musical instruments including concertina and musical saw, dances the Charleston, Flamenco, and the Electric Slide. Juggles hats, balls, plates, and feathers, and makes objects and humans magically float through space.
But the show is really about the relationship of these three characters, Jeske, Monday and Slappy. If you like the Marx Brothers or Spike Jones, you're probably old enough to have been exposed to the golden age of comedy. "Fascination" takes the magic of classic comedy and reshapes it into a retro-hip performance for audiences young and old alike.
Slappy and Monday- Show Emcees
The founders of the Goofs, Tiffany Riley and Dick Monday, serve as hosts of any kind of program by welcoming the audience and doing the introductions of show participants. Each transition includes a comic reprise to cover any stage sets or strikes and helps give the program a feeling of continuity.
