In 1940, Hellzapoppin was the longest running show in the history of Broadway. It starred Olsen and Johnson, two Vaudeville stars that created mayhem and spontaneous hilarity with improvisation and standard comic bits of business that America could not get enough of.
Our salute to Hellza poppin is a tribute, not a recreation. Our mission is to create the same laughs, the surprises, the great music, the visual delights, all the things that made Hellzapoppin such a big hit. We’ll also utilize some of the premises of the original show and even a routine or two, but mostly it will cater to the audience of today, not the audience of 1940.

For over ten years, the NY Goofs have been featured at the International Children's Festival at Wolf Trap. They have also performed at the River to River Festival, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center and Symphony Space. Overseas, the Goofs have performed in China, Jordan, Mexico and Japan. They are guaranteed to dazzle and delight audiences of all ages, in any part of the world!
The NY Goofs were most recently the headline act in the Medora Musical, a 45 year old show presented each summer in a 2800 seat amphitheatre in the Badlands of North Dakota. Expect loads of laughter, classic comedy and unexpected feats of human goofiness!
